This Privacy Policy describes how The Cognitio Lab ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use Routify – SEO Redirect Manager (the "App"), available on the Shopify App Store.

By installing or using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Who We Are

2. Information We Collect

Routify only collects information that is necessary to provide its functionality. Specifically, we collect:

• Shop name – the name of your Shopify store
• Store URL – your myshopify.com domain
• Merchant email address – provided by Shopify during app installation
• Access tokens – used to authenticate API calls to your Shopify store
• Redirect rules and URL data – the redirect configurations you create within the App

We do not collect any customer data, personal information beyond what is listed above, payment information, or any data unrelated to the App's core functionality.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected solely to:

• Authenticate your Shopify store and maintain your session
• Provide and operate the App's redirect management features
• Store your redirect rules and settings so they persist across sessions
• Respond to support requests or inquiries

We do not use your data for advertising, marketing profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the App.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely on our servers hosted on Hostinger infrastructure. We use industry-standard security practices including:

• Encrypted HTTPS connections (SSL/TLS)
• Secure database access controls
• Regular security updates

Your store data, including redirect rules and session information, is retained in our database for as long as the App is installed on your store. If you uninstall the App, we will retain your data for up to 30 days before permanent deletion, in accordance with Shopify's data retention guidelines.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties, except:

• Shopify – as required to operate the App through Shopify's platform and APIs
• Legal requirements – if required by law, regulation, or legal process

6. Shopify API Compliance

Routify accesses the following Shopify data scopes:

• read_online_store_navigation
• write_online_store_navigation
• write_app_proxy
• read_products
• read_content

These permissions are used exclusively to manage URL redirects and navigation within your Shopify store. We comply with Shopify's API Terms of Service and Shopify's Privacy Policy.

7. Cookies

The App may use session cookies to maintain your authenticated state while using the App inside Shopify Admin. These cookies are strictly necessary for the App to function and are not used for tracking or advertising purposes.

8. Your Rights

As a merchant using our App, you have the right to:

• Access – request a copy of the data we hold about your store
• Correction – request that we correct inaccurate data
• Deletion – request that we delete your data by uninstalling the App or contacting us directly
• Portability – request your data in a portable format

9. GDPR Compliance

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our legal basis for processing your data is the performance of a contract — specifically, providing the App services you have requested by installing the App.

We process mandatory compliance webhooks as required by Shopify, including:

• customers/data_request
• customers/redact
• shop/redact

10. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for use by Shopify merchants and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
